CLEANING:
Hammocks are made of different types of fabric, which means that these fabrics get dirty. Here are some tips on how to clean hammocks:
Cotton
Hammocks made of cotton can be washed, using mild detergents, a brush and a garden hose. The hammock should be laid down. Do not hang it as cotton is stretchy and your hammock may stretch. Do not wash a clean hammock as cotton is not durable.
Polyester
Wash with mild detergents. Also do not hang, which can cause stretching. Pour plenty of water when washing.
Dyed acrylic fabrics
Wash in the same way as above. These fabrics are mildew resistant, but dirt can build up in the crevices, so clean the hammock frequently.
